We asked everyone the same question: "How do you understand the concept of Destruction in the context of BK teachings?"


Editors' Note: Our posting on the topic of Destruction generated many comments and questions. We want to provide an opportunity to explore both the socio-cultural and religious history of this idea as well as the distinguishing features of BK teachings and the relevance to the modern world. What differentiates the Brahma Kumaris is the understanding of entropy and cyclic time. It is widely acknowledged that the world is already experiencing the demolition of dysfunctional patterns and systems, and that the pace of this change is accelerating. The problem is that most people do not know what to do about this. The Brahma Kumaris have emphasized the importance of an individual response to these global crises. In this sense, time is invaluable as it gives each person the opportunity and space to learn, to change, to prepare, to cooperate, to engender a new heritage. The primary focus therefore, is not on the disintegration but on the renewal of the world. We invite you to consider these ideas as the conversation continues......
